People wanting knowledgable fitness and nutrition guidance is the driving force to what brings them here. The friendships and camaraderie between members and trainers that develop along the path of that journey is a huge part of what keeps them. Hard work, legitimate coaching, compassion, and positive relationships among everyone is what makes our community at State of Fitness so unique and special.

What do you do when you’re not at the club? I’m a homebody. I love being able to kick back and read or put some music on to food prep, spend time with the hubs and kitties, or dance like nobody is watching.
Bio:
Laurie was in the beauty industry for 23 years prior to beginning her internship at State of Fitness. In her career, she worked solely in Aveda schools and salons which gave her the experience of teaching students, developing curriculums, coaching teams of stylists as well as servicing clients of her own.
Laurie became a member at State of Fitness in 2013. It was then that her passion for health and fitness became a personal lifestyle and motivator for her personal training profession today.
In 2018 Laurie began working a part-time position at the State of Fitness service desk. Having contemplated a career change for a while, Laurie decided it was time to put away the cutting shears and make a career in personal training a reality.
With the help and support from Family, friends, and her mentors at State of Fitness, Laurie obtained her personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and now works solely in the personal training field.
Helping people be their best selves has been a driving force for Laurie for decades. Joining the field of personal training has proven to continue that purpose.
