I love the community that SOF has created with all the members. It’s great to walk into the facility every day and know that you’re coming into a positive environment with expert trainers and amazing members. I’m blessed to be able to be part of changing so many lives.

Who do you look up to and why?
My dad, because he has always been there for me and supported me through thick and thin. He has gone through so much in life, and he continues to persevere. That is incredibly inspiring to me and pushes me to be the best version of myself every day.
Favorite Healthy Snack: Perfect Bars (especially the Coconut Peanut Butter)
Guilty Indulgence: Ribs, brisket and pulled pork with beans and slaw
What do you do when you are not at the club?
Playing cards with friends or reading.

Cody is an Iowan and a 2016 graduate of Michigan State University where he received his BS in Kinesiology. During his last semester at Michigan State, he interned at State of Fitness. He is currently certified through CrossFit, USA Weightlifting, and Precision Nutrition.
Cody grew up playing any and all sports, earning varsity letters in football, wrestling, soccer, golf, and baseball. He continued his athletics at Michigan State University by rowing for the men’s club team. Cody also was an intern for the Michigan State Strength and Conditioning staff, working with the Olympic sports; as well as a manager for the women’s field hockey team. Cody found his passion for coaching and training through his experiences in sports and within his internships.
After being a member at State of Fitness, Cody went through the internship program where he learned the ins and outs of training and business from Justin and Kathryn. Once he completed the internship and graduated, Cody took a sales position with SFH in Chicago and was a coach in Texas before finding his way back to State of Fitness.
