“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
Devin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2017. While attending college he participated in State of Fitness’ Internship a number of times before receiving his Personal Training Certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and his Sports Performance Coaching Certification through USA Weightlifting (USAW).
Devin has always been an extremely active person, participating in many sports throughout his middle and high school years, with a focus on soccer. In 2011, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves and was given the opportunity to go to Scout Sniper school in 2014 where he graduated top of his class. This experience gave him a real-world application for the necessity of fitness and he has strived to learn more, better himself, and help others reach their health and fitness goals ever since.
Devin’s philosophy on fitness is that everybody should have a level of fitness that allows them to participate in any activity that they may want to in their life, without having to worry about strength, endurance, mobility, or weight holding them back.
