My sister, Shelby, because she continues to inspire me to be a strong, independent woman who always follows her dreams!

What do you do when you are not at the club?
Outside of the gym, I enjoy hiking, hunting, running and other outdoor adventures, especially in northern Michigan. I also love to read for fun and shop for exercise clothes.

Maddy is a recent Michigan State University graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. She also has a minor in health promotions, a specialization in fitness leadership, and is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Maddy interned at SOF from September 2014 to May 2015 and learned so much from Justin and the rest of the SOF staff.
Maddy is from the small town of Dryden, Michigan where she grew up playing basketball, volleyball, and soccer. She loves all varieties of fitness from running marathons to lifting heavy things! Maddy has always been active, but fell in love with lifting her junior year of high school under the guidance of her basketball coach Amy Mitchell. She started teaching fitness classes at 16 and got certified as a trainer at 18. Justin and the rest of the SOF family have reaffirmed her love for lifting. She is looking forward to continuing her education and career at SOF!
