What do you love about SOF/What does SOF mean to you?
The opportunity to learn and be around the company of fun and exciting people is why I love the SOF community. The ability to see change in the lives of members that pass through our door, makes me feel lucky to be a part of something special!

Who do you look up to and why?
My parents. They have taught me that if you want to succeed in life you have to go “all in” and do whatever it takes.

What do you do when you are not at the club?
Working towards my 4 year degree at Michigan State and hanging out with friends.
Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”
As the Assistant Manager, Steve helps answers all membership questions and does his best to make your time at the club more enjoyable. Steve is a Kinesiology major at Michigan State who plans on graduating spring of 2017. He has studied under Justin Grinnell through the internship program in summer 2014 and is certified through American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Steve grew up in Haslett, Michigan and attended Lansing Community College. He was there when he first became a member at State of Fitness and found a passion for health and fitness. This gave him the motivation to continue on with further education at Michigan State in 2015. While Steve loves exercise all around, he found enjoyment in competing in weightlifting through the snatch and clean and jerk. By competing in weightlifting he learned dedication and commitment in all aspects of life.
Having passion and enthusiasm with members in the club is what Steve enjoys most about the SOF family. With the rest of the State of Fitness staff, Steve hopes to continue to make the club the best around, empowering the lives of all who walk through our doors!
