10 Habits for Building Muscle and Getting Lean

  1. Eat more vegetables. 

  2. Notes SeriesEat enough high-quality protein. 

  3. Drink plain water. Vitamin water and other flavored waters don’t count. 

  4. Sleep more. 

  5. Perform proper breathing exercises for at least 2-minutes a day. 

  6. Lift something heavy and lift it fast at least 2-3 times per week. 

  7. Take longer walks. 

  8. Reduce processed carb intake. Focus on starches such as potatoes and rice for energy needs. 

  9. Improve your mobility and flexibility. 

  10. Do the above things often and for the long haul. Short periods of really going for it is great a couple times a year. Just make sure you do what you need to do consistently. You have to be able to find something you can maintain for life.
